Islamabad, May 10, 2025:The Pakistan Airports Authority has announced the full restoration of the country’s airspace, effective immediately, allowing both domestic and international flight operations to resume.

A spokesperson for the Authority confirmed on Saturday that all airports across the nation are now fully operational. “All airspace restrictions have been lifted, and normal flight operations are resuming,” the official said.

The reopening follows a temporary suspension of flights due to escalating military tensions in the region. The precautionary closure, implemented to ensure national security, remained in effect until noon on May 11.

With a ceasefire agreement now in place between Pakistan and India, authorities have deemed it safe to resume air traffic. The move is being welcomed as a return to normalcy for the country’s aviation sector.

All airlines, including international carriers, have been cleared to resume services. The Pakistan Airports Authority assured that strict safety protocols remain in effect to guarantee smooth and secure operations nationwide.

The full reopening of Pakistan’s airspace not only allows travelers to proceed with their plans but also restores critical global connectivity. Authorities expressed optimism that this step would support both domestic mobility and international travel in the coming days.
