Islamabad, March 13,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Espen Barth Eide, Foreign Minister of Norway, on Friday to discuss the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders expressed deep concern over the developing situation in the Middle East and its potential consequences for the region and beyond.

Both ministers emphasized the need for de-escalation, respect for international law, and a return to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve ongoing tensions.

During the conversation, they also discussed the Pakistan–Afghanistan situation and exchanged views on recent security developments in the region.

Norway’s foreign minister conveyed condolences over the loss of lives in the recent mosque terrorist attack in Islamabad, while both leaders strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

The two sides agreed to remain in close contact on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to continued diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Norway.
