Jeddah, September 15, 2024 – The Overseas Global Foundation has issued a strong condemnation of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent anti-military remarks. The foundation expressed that, despite residing abroad, they fully understand the profound connection between the Pakistan Army and its people and reaffirm their unwavering support for the military.

Khalid Cheema, President of the Overseas Global Foundation’s Saudi Arabia Chapter, asserted that the Pakistan Army holds a special place in their hearts and criticized Imran Khan’s statement as a deliberate attempt to destabilize the country. “This is a time for national unity and progress, not for generating internal conflicts,” Cheema stated. He emphasized that while addressing external threats and advancing national development, such statements are counterproductive.

Senior foundation member Muhammad Adeel also condemned Imran Khan’s remarks, noting that while it is expected for enemies to make such statements, it is ill-advised for a national leader to incite division among their own people. He urged efforts to foster national development rather than create hurdles.

Chaudhry Zaheer Meher, Chairman of the Overseas Global Foundation, also denounced Imran Khan’s statement and called for decisive action. He warned that such statements could jeopardize national stability and stressed the importance of continuing to support the military and national institutions with respect.

The foundation’s members unanimously agreed that now is the time for a united effort towards the country’s progress and prosperity, with the entire nation standing together in support of the Pakistan Army.
