Lahore, April 15, 2025: The Punjab government has announced that it will officially unveil a comprehensive Kisan Package for wheat farmers on Tuesday, aimed at ensuring fair compensation for growers while maintaining affordable flour prices for consumers.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in a meeting held today, reaffirmed her government’s commitment to protecting the interests of the farming community. She reiterated a promise made during the wheat harvesting season to stand by farmers and reward their hard work.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the upcoming Kisan Package would be “unique, exceptional, and highly beneficial” for wheat growers. She assured that farmers would receive full and fair compensation for their efforts.

“Insha’Allah (By the grace of God), farmers will receive full compensation for their hard work,” she said, adding that her government was committed to a balanced approach — one that ensures farmers are rewarded while preventing any surge in flour prices for the public.

Praising the farming community for their dedication, the chief minister noted that Punjab had successfully met its wheat cultivation targets. “Our farmer brothers worked day and night and responded to my call by cultivating a record wheat crop,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz added that her government remains focused on policies that protect both the producers and the public, promising that no stakeholder would be left behind as Punjab moves forward with its agricultural reforms.

The Kisan Package will be officially launched in a public event scheduled for tomorrow.
