Rawalpindi, October 8, 2025: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, presided over the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

The high-level forum began with Fateha for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks, which the military said were orchestrated by Indian terror proxies.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the emerging threat landscape, and the overall operational preparedness of the armed forces.

The COAS praised the “spirit, resolve, and determination” of Pakistan’s armed forces in their fight against foreign-sponsored terror networks and in conducting extensive flood relief and rescue operations alongside civil administration and law enforcement agencies.

The conference reiterated that the armed forces remain fully prepared to thwart the designs of Pakistan’s adversaries across all domains, vowing that the nexus between terror, crime, and political patronage would no longer be tolerated.

“The existing nexus between terror and crime with vested political patronage, which gravely hurts the interests of the State and security of its people, will not be allowed to continue anymore — come what may,” the statement quoted the forum as saying.

The forum expressed grave concern over recent provocative and irresponsible statements made by Indian civil and military leadership, terming them part of a pattern of “whipping up war hysteria for political gain.”

The participants warned that such rhetoric could endanger regional peace and stability, emphasizing that any Indian aggression would be met with a swift and decisive response.

“Any imaginary new normal will be met with a new normal of swift retributive response,” the statement read, underscoring Pakistan’s resolve to counter any threat to its sovereignty.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to comprehensive counter-terrorism operations across all domains, aimed at dismantling the networks of Indian-sponsored terror proxies, including those termed Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan.

The Corps Commanders’ Conference also acknowledged the importance of Pakistan’s recent diplomatic engagements, welcoming the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The agreement, the forum noted, would enhance multi-domain cooperation and strengthen joint defence capabilities against external aggression — reflecting a shared commitment to peace, stability, and mutual respect across the Middle East and South Asia.

Reiterating Pakistan’s principled stance on global issues, the forum reaffirmed unwavering support for the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination in line with UN Security Council resolutions.

It also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid, while reiterating support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as the capital of an independent Palestine.

In his closing remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir directed commanders to ensure the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, innovation, and responsiveness.

He expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Army’s operational preparedness to counter threats “across the entire spectrum — from conventional and sub-conventional to hybrid and asymmetric.”
