Shaheed Benazirabad, December 19, 2025: First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Member of the National Assembly, on Friday graced the 5th Passing Out Parade and Annual Parents’ Day at Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls (BCCG) as the chief guest.

During her visit, the First Lady inaugurated the college’s newly completed gymnasium and swimming pool, took part in a tree plantation ceremony, and formally opened the Art & Science Exhibition 2025–26. She later inspected the guard of honour, met members of the faculty, and addressed the cadets and their parents.

In her address, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari highlighted the historic significance of BCCG as Pakistan’s first cadet college for girls, established to empower young women through quality education, discipline and leadership training. She commended the dedication of the cadets, the guidance of the faculty and the support of the Sindh government, noting that these collective efforts had transformed the institution into a centre producing confident, disciplined and globally competitive young leaders.

Recalling the legacy of women leaders such as Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, she stressed that the education and leadership development of girls were vital for Pakistan’s future. She urged the cadets to carry forward the values of discipline, respect and resilience in all spheres of life, and to uphold the honour of their families and the nation.

The First Lady also presented college crests and prizes to outstanding cadets and witnessed march-past drills, physical training and gymnastic displays, as well as a karate demonstration.

Established in 2017 and managed by the Pakistan Air Force with the support of the Sindh government, Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls currently has an enrolment of 423 cadets from across the country. The institution offers modern facilities, including smart classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a digital library, gymnasium, swimming pool, sports grounds and comprehensive residential amenities. Its cadets have earned recognition at provincial, national and international levels in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

In the college visitors’ book, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari wrote: “Honoured to visit Bakhtawar Cadet College. We must appreciate President Asif Ali Zardari for his vision in creating this institute. May these bright cadets continue to succeed in all walks of life, serve Pakistan and make their country proud.”

Her participation, officials said, underscored the continued commitment to empowering young women and highlighted the critical role of education, discipline and leadership in shaping Pakistan’s future.
