Islamabad, February 16, 2026: Pakistan has strongly condemned the latest measures taken by Israel, aimed at converting areas of the Occupied West Bank into so-called state property and expanding illegal settlement activities.

In a press release issued on Monday, the Foreign Office said these actions by the Israeli occupying power are in clear violation of international law, as well as relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the UN General Assembly. Pakistan stressed that such steps must be rejected by the international community.

The statement noted that Israel’s continued disregard for international law and its provocative actions are undermining the prospects for a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.

Pakistan called upon the international community to take concrete measures to end Israeli impunity and to ensure respect for international law.

Reaffirming its long-standing position, Pakistan reiterated full support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and for the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
