Karachi, March 24, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah on Tuesday visited the residence of Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi in Karachi to congratulate him on assuming office.
During the meeting, the Speaker extended warm felicitations to Governor Hashmi on his new role and also conveyed Eid ul-Fitr greetings. He lauded Hashmi’s long-standing political service and expressed confidence in his ability to effectively discharge his responsibilities.
Highlighting the importance of the Governor’s office, Ayaz Sadiq said the position plays a vital role in fostering coordination between the federation and provinces. He noted that Hashmi’s appointment reflects his extensive political experience and voiced optimism that he would contribute to strengthening federal-provincial relations and promoting public service.
The Speaker also emphasized the Governor’s role in advancing development, prosperity, and harmony in Sindh, as well as enhancing coordination with other federating units.
Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah also congratulated Governor Hashmi and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure.
On the occasion, Governor Nehal Hashmi thanked the Speaker and Deputy Speaker for visiting his residence and extending their good wishes.
