Karachi, April 27, 2026: A reception was hosted by prominent business leader Ahmed Chinoy in honour of Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasar, bringing together leading industrialists, investors, and members of the business community.
The event, attended by prominent figures from various sectors, featured detailed discussions on Pakistan’s economic outlook, investment promotion, and opportunities for expanding commercial activity.
Speaking on the occasion, Syedal Khan Nasar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating investors and ensuring macroeconomic stability. He said Karachi continues to serve as the “backbone of Pakistan’s economy” and remains a key hub for trade and investment with strong potential for further growth.
He acknowledged the challenges faced by the business and industrial sectors, assuring participants that their concerns would be communicated to the government for timely and effective action. He added that ongoing reforms are aimed at improving the overall business climate and encouraging investment.
Ahmed Chinoy, in his remarks, highlighted the importance of close collaboration between the public and private sectors for achieving sustainable economic stability. He stressed that the business community plays a vital role in national development.

The Acting Chairman Senate further stated that Pakistan, being a resource-rich country, requires a comprehensive strategy to provide maximum facilitation to farmers, traders, industrialists, and the wider business community, while strengthening trade and investment frameworks.
Chinoy, who also serves as a director at the Pakistan Stock Exchange and a board member of the Central Depository Company, is widely recognised for his contributions to Pakistan’s industrial and commercial sectors.
