Inglewood, January 31, 2025: A star-studded lineup of pop icons, rock legends, first responders, and wildfire survivors gathered at FireAid for a powerful benefit concert in support of LA wildfire relief.

The night featured a surprising Nirvana reunion with St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, and Joan Jett stepping in for Kurt Cobain. They played “Breed,” “School,” and “Territorial Pissings” before Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet, joined for “All Apologies.”

Lady Gaga, the evening’s closer, performed hits “Shallow” and “Always Remember Us This Way,” before debuting a new song, “Time is a healer,” written with fiancé Michael Polansky.

Green Day opened the event with “Last Night on Earth,” followed by Billie Eilish for a powerful collaboration. Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong joked about fundraising goals, and U2 made the first major donation—$1 million.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers brought Southern California flair, with bassist Flea doing a handstand before performing “Dani California,” “Californication,” and “Under the Bridge.” Dr. Dre surprised the crowd with a set including “Still D.R.E.” and “California Love,” joined by Anderson .Paak and Sheila E.

Other standout performances included Joni Mitchell’s emotional “Both Sides Now,” No Doubt’s reunion set, and Katy Perry’s “Rise” with the Pasadena Chorale. Billie Eilish and Finneas performed acoustic versions of their hits.

The concert took place across two venues—the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome—offering nearly six hours of music and solidarity. Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Pink, and Earth, Wind & Fire also delivered unforgettable sets. Stevie Nicks reflected on evacuating her Pacific Palisades home, while Earth, Wind & Fire performed a medley of classics like “September.”
