Tashkent, January 6,2026: Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, has given her first major interview, offering detailed insights into her role within the system of public administration, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s working style, and the key priorities guiding the Presidential Administration, according to Uzbek media reports.
She explained that the Presidential Administration is primarily responsible for shaping strategic directions and monitoring the implementation of decisions, rather than managing day-to-day operational matters. Describing the current phase as an “era of reforms,” Mirziyoyeva stressed that sustainable change requires constant oversight, accountability, and active feedback from society.
Speaking about President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, she highlighted his leadership qualities, particularly his willingness to listen to citizens, trust his team, and invest in human resource development. She noted that reforms are pursued not only through firm decisions but also through flexibility, dialogue, and mutual trust.
Outlining the Administration’s key areas of focus, Mirziyoyeva identified five priority sectors: water supply, education, healthcare, business development, and the judicial system. She emphasized that water security holds special strategic importance for Uzbekistan as an agrarian country. Reforms in education and healthcare, she added, are long-term endeavors whose outcomes will be realized over time.
She placed particular emphasis on the judicial system, stating that transparent and fair justice is essential for successful economic reforms, increased investment, and strengthening public trust in state institutions.
Addressing her personal interests, Mirziyoyeva said she has a strong inclination toward international diplomacy and dialogue. She underlined that engagement with people and the expansion of cooperation ultimately serve a single objective: improving citizens’ quality of life. The guiding principle that “every person matters,” she reiterated, remains central to Uzbekistan’s state policy.
Explaining her appointment as Head of the Presidential Administration, Mirziyoyeva said it was driven by the need to ensure that the President receives direct and objective information about conditions on the ground. Such a mechanism, she noted, enables effective monitoring of reform implementation and allows for timely responses to real challenges faced by regions across the country.
