COAS, Chinese FM reaffirm resolve to strengthen All-Weather Strategic Partnership

Rawalpindi, August 22, 2025: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Islamabad on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Discussions focused on regional security, counterterrorism, and other matters of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen the Pakistan–China All-Weather Strategic Partnership and enhance coordination at regional and international forums.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated China’s firm support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and development. The Army Chief expressed gratitude for Beijing’s consistent backing and underscored Pakistan’s commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
