Islamabad, April 22, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which both sides exchanged views on the latest regional developments and reaffirmed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for peaceful resolution of disputes.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders discussed evolving geopolitical dynamics and reiterated their shared commitment to supporting diplomatic engagement as the preferred path for conflict resolution.
During the conversation, Dar expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Türkiye to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani delegation, including himself, during the recent Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
He also appreciated Türkiye’s role in hosting the third meeting of the R-4 group on the sidelines of the forum, which brought together the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt to discuss regional issues.
The exchange comes amid heightened diplomatic activity involving Pakistan and regional partners, as Islamabad continues to position itself as a facilitator in key international dialogues.
Both sides reiterated that sustained engagement and multilateral diplomacy remain essential to addressing ongoing regional challenges and promoting stability.
The conversation reflects continued close coordination between Islamabad and Ankara on regional and global diplomatic matters.
